Sending exe files through email

Are you bothered with your email clients keep on rejecting the exe attachments.?. Don't worry. There is a work around. Email servers reject binary files thinking that they can execute some malicious code on servers. So what you should do is to make the server believe that your file / attachment is safe and doesn't bother server.

Follow these steps to successfully send exe files.

STEP 1:

Go to control Panel and open Folder Options.

STEP 2

Click on View Tab and Uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file type'.

STEP 3

You can see the extension .EXE at the end of your File. Rename it to .TXT

Click Yes for Confirmation.

STEP 4

Now happily upload this file in any of email clients without any problem. After downloading from email, just do the reverse process to restore the file. At any point of time, do not open the file, when the extension is not the actual extension. It corrupts the file. Then you need to download it again.

Add Java Install Path to Windows System Path

You might have installed JAVA on your PC and struggling to add the JAVA path to System Path so that all Java Tools and Command Prompt can identify your JAVA libraries, Compile and Run Programs as expected.

                    Here is simple way.

Open System Properties by right clicking on white space in My Computer.

Click on Advanced System Settings .

Click on Environment Variables

Select the 'PATH' variable and click Edit. Do not delete any thing. Go to the line end by typing 'END' key of Keyboard. Add a SEMI COLON ( ;) and copy paste the Java Bin path. Click OK.

Restart the PC to see the changes to System Global Variables.

That's it. You have successfully added Java Path to System Variables.

To test whether changes are done or not, open a command prompt window and type java or javac and press Enter Key. If it says, command not recognised, then the java path is not copy pasted properly. So repeat the process.

How to know whether your PC or SYSTEM is 32 bit or 64 bit Type .?

Depending on the OS version we install, PC type is referred. So check your OS version to know whether your PC is 32 bit or 64 bit. Software compatibility is checked only with OS bit type but not with the bit-support provided by your Processor. If a particular software insists you to install it on a 64bit machine, you can not install it on 32 bit machine (OS). But the reverse is possible as you can mostly install a 32 bit software on a 64 bit machine.

Simply open MY COMPUTER on your windows PC. Right Click on white space and click on Properties button.

Here, System type shows information about the OS and Processor.

As your OS is 64 bit type, you can download and install either 64 bit or 32 bit software.

Enjoy..
